Kevin McDougall, ThM. Senior Pastor
Kevin grew up in La Mirada, California and graduated from Biola University with a B.A. in Humanities with emphases in Communication, Philosophy and English literature. While in college Kevin interned at his home church – Church of the Open Door – where he also met his wife Christy. It was during his experience interning that he felt the call to full-time ministry. In 1986, directly after graduating from Biola, Kevin moved to Dallas, Texas to attend Dallas Theological Seminary. After 4 years of full-time study, Kevin graduated from DTS with his Master of Theology degree with emphasis in pastoral ministries. After graduation, Kevin became the Youth Pastor at a church in Woodland Park, Colorado where he served for 9 years. In 1999 Kevin and his family moved here to Redwood Valley and Kevin became the Senior Pastor of Redwood Valley Community Church. Kevin and his wife Christy have been married since 1988 and have 4 children – Vitalic, Sergei, Reagan and Baylor. His favorite thing to do with his family is to have dart-gun wars and play games together. Kevin believes that “God transforms people through a relationship with His word using His Spirit and other people, and that the church is a place where that happens.” He feels excited and blessed to be apart of it.
Isaac Sheley, MDiv. Associate Pastor
Isaac was raised among the forest and mountains of North Idaho. He is the youngest in his family and has three older sisters. Isaac graduated from Liberty University with a Bachelor of Science in Religion. He then went on to Southwestern Theological Seminary for a Master of Divinity in Biblical Languages.
Isaac has been on staff as Youth Pastor at RVCC since December 2018. He is newly married to the lovely Bethany Sheley. When they have free time, you will find them relaxing with their pet bunny (Napoleon Bunnyparte) or out enjoying God’s glorious creation.
Geraldine Ramsey Children’s Director
Geraldine is a native of Redwood Valley and grew up attending Redwood Valley Community Church. In Junior High, she began volunteering at the church and became a teacher’s assistant for the kid’s Sunday school class. In 1995 Geraldine married her high-school sweet heart, Chad, and the two of them have been blessed with their children – Mykala and Cameron. When her kids were little, Geraldine began teaching at RVCC as a Tiny Tots Sunday School teacher. She also taught in children’s church, pre-k VBS and volunteered in the Cubbies program for AWANA. In 2004, Geraldine accepted the position of Children’s Director of Redwood Valley Community Church. On top of being the Children’s Director, Geraldine also home-schools her 2 teenage children and loves to run, kayak, and play music and sports with her family. She also volunteers as a youth leader and occasionally helps her mom in the drama ministry. Geraldine is passionate about serving the Lord and reaching kids with the Gospel. She loves having the opportunity to work with children and share God’s word with them and watch them grow.
Sue Goodrick Finance Secretary
Sue has lived in Ukiah for 28 years, prior to that she lived in Petaluma with her husband Jerry of 38 years. Jerry and Sue have two adult children – Lindsay and Casey both of whom attended Deep Valley Christian School. She graduated from Chico State and has held numerous jobs with the City of Ukiah and Mendocino County in the fields of Executive Administration, Budgeting/Finance and Human Resources. She retired in 2013. Sue has been a member of RVCC since 2003, and joined the office staff as finance secretary in February 2016. She participates in the AWANA program as a “Cubbie” leader and is also a member of the Women’s Ministry Planning Committee. Her favorite past times are hiking (especially in the Trinity Alps Wilderness Area) and reading. She feels blessed to be a part of this “wonderful and loving church family” and has enjoyed getting to know everyone on a more personal level through her position as Finance Secretary.
